"I only wish I had more time to be in the
classroom."
Both of my boys have had
very successful experiences and growth at Bethlehem Christian Preschool.
Each teacher, classroom aid and administrator helped my children to
grow, develop and expand tremendously each year they attended BCP. The
quality of education is extremely high and they have a wide scope of
learning activities including art, music, play, as well as all of the
math, science and literacy a child could ever want. I watched the staff
develop an interest in what my two very different boys were interested
in. My oldest has a passion for animals that was fostered, nurtured and
developed during his time at BCP. The teachers went out of their way to
allow him to share his passion of animals with his classmates. A few of
his favorite activities were trout fishing, the Reptile Man and
countless days of running around the playground acting out like his hero
Steve Irwin. My youngest can be very shy and withdrawn, yet I have
watched as the staff has
worked at drawing him out of his shell and off of his mother’s leg. He
now walks around the school as if he owned the place. He has made
connections with many of his teachers and really enjoys going to school.
His favorite days I believe are the Dad Saturday’s where the students
bring an adult male figure to school and show them what they do
everyday. It would be very difficult to pick a favorite project that we
have completed during our Dad Saturday time, but baking soda volcanoes
have to be one of the top three. The two of us sitting in the science
area with safety goggles on using eyedroppers to drop red colored liquid
onto the baking soda causing a volcano like eruption; too much fun. It
also created one of my favorite photos of my youngest… goofy goggles
and all.
My only regret about sending my boys to
BCP would be that I only wish I had more time to be in the classroom. I
know I missed out on so many great and wondrous learning adventures that
they had thanks to the wonderful staff. I owe all of them a great thanks
for helping my boys develop into the loving caring kids that they have
become.
A truly blessed, and thankful parent.
